Paul's Place Summer Camp at Redeemer
June 23 - 27, 2008
11:00 - 3:00 p.m.
The Church of the Redeemer provides a one-week summer camp for young people ages 6 - 11 from Paul's Place, an outreach center in the Pigtown community of southwest Baltimore. For a week, the children are transported to Redeemer for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, arts, crafts, sports, singing and worship. Members of Redeemer of all ages work together to plan and coordinate the various activities. Our youth are an integral part of the planning and organization of this program. Many serve as group leaders.

The Staff plans and works with these young people within the context of Christ's wish:
Suffer the little children to come unto me.
The Summer Camp has provided a wonderful learning opportunity for the children of Pigtown, but Redeemer camp staff would argue that the learning opportunity has been theirs.
What you can do to help:
- Share your knowledge: music, art, crafts, sports, cooking, the environment, God.
- Be a storyteller; read a story.
- Sponsor a camper for the week
$35.00 (covers T-shirt, disposable camera & developing)
- Bake cookies or other treats for 35 wonderful kids!
- Ride the bus.
- Play outdoors with campers.
- Provide your experience in training camp staff.
- Spend one afternoon assisting the staff during the camp.
- Donate old bath or beach towels
- Donate button up shirts for smocks
You can help out one afternoon, several days or all week!
Won't you help out !!!!!
Volunteers of all ages are needed to help during the planning and/or coordination of the camp activities. We are most appreciative of both volunteer and financial support.
