Preparing the Church of the Redeemer for the next generation
Under the leadership of co-chairs Nancy Hubble, Chuck Nabit, Lee Ogburn and Ronnie Reno, the Generations Capital Campaign is renewing our buildings for coming generations. On April 19, 2010 we launched the public phase of the Generations Campaign. As of June 15, 2010, we have received over $2.1 million in gifts and commitments from 75 donors toward our goal of $3.6 million. The Generations Campaign will revitalize our church campus with sensitivity to environmental and fiscal stewardship. The replacement of windows in many areas of our buildings with energy efficient windows which retain the architectural integrity of our church buildings is under way now. We will also restore and revitalize the main church organ to better support our worship experience and we will install a new HVAC system which will include a geothermal component making our facility comfortable on a year-round basis. When these goals are accomplished our church will be prepared for future generations. The previous generation had the foresight to build the magnificent church that we worship in every Sunday, now it is our turn to prepare for the future. To achieve our goals we will need to raise an additional $1.5 million. We know the Church of the Redeemer has the capacity to make this campaign a success. Let’s do it!

Ways to make a gift to the Generations Campaign
Make a 3 to 5 year pledge to the capital campaign
Your three to five year commitment to the Generations Campaign is critical to it's success. In addition to a capital commitment it is very important for the financial health of the Church of the Redeemer that annual stewardship commitments are maintained for the duration of the campaign. Generations Campaign commitment forms are available here.
Property and stock gifts
Our Finance Office can assist you in making such gifts. Advance notification of stock gifts is appreciated. Please note: gifts of physical objects or real estate must be approved by the Vestry before they can be accepted. For assistance, contact Darlene Gilchrist in the Finance Office or call (410) 435-7333, ext. 236.
We will gladly accept planned gifts as a commitment to the Generations Campaign. Estate gifts made by those 70 and older will be counted at face value for this campaign. This approach may offer the opportunity to contemplate a larger gift, without affecting current or near term financial position. Another possibility is a “hybrid” pledge, with part being given over the next five years, and part being given as a provision of estate plans. Please contact Ellen Chatard, Director of Stewardship.
